1. Who these terms are between

This website is operated by Celestia Payments Inc., a corporation registered in Canada and a money services business registered with FINTRAC under number C100001085. OrangeRemit is our brand for international money transfers. By using this site or registering interest you agree to these terms.

2. Registration interest is not an account

Registering interest places you on a waitlist. It does not open an account, does not create a contract to transfer money, and does not guarantee access on any particular date. Access is released in batches at our discretion, and you may ask to be removed from the list at any time.

3. Exchange rates and fee offers

Rates shown on this website are indicative and refreshed approximately hourly. They are not an offer. The rate that applies to a transfer is the rate displayed on the confirmation screen at the moment you authorise it, and that rate is held only for the period shown there. The zero transfer fee offer applies to the first 1,000 completed registrations for twelve months from account opening, and may be withdrawn or changed for future registrations at any time.

4. Comparison information

Comparisons with other providers are illustrative examples prepared at a stated exchange rate on a stated date. They are not quotes from those providers, we do not control their pricing, and their rates and fees will differ on the day you send. Nothing on this site is financial, tax or legal advice.

5. Eligibility and verification

To use the transfer service you must be at least 18 years old, resident in Canada, and able to fund transfers from a Canadian bank account in your own name. We must verify your identity and, where applicable, the identity of your recipient before a transfer can be processed. We may decline or hold a transfer where we cannot complete required checks, where a sanctions or fraud concern arises, or where the law requires it.

6. Your responsibilities

• Give accurate information, and keep it current.
• Use the service only for lawful purposes and only with money you are entitled to send.
• Check recipient bank details before authorising a transfer. Money sent to details you supplied cannot always be recalled.
• Keep your login credentials private and tell us promptly if you suspect misuse.

7. Delivery times

Stated delivery times are typical, not guaranteed. Payout depends on our banking partners in India, the recipient's bank, and the payment rails used. We will tell you if a transfer is delayed and keep you updated until it settles.

8. Refunds and our guarantee

If funds are not delivered to your recipient, we refund the full amount debited, including any fee. Where a transfer is cancelled before payout, funds are returned to the account you paid from, less any cost already incurred by our banking partners, which we will itemise. Where a transfer has already been paid out, a refund depends on the recipient's bank and their cooperation.

9. Fees and charges

Our transaction fee is shown before you confirm any transfer. Your bank may charge its own fees, including for Interac e-Transfer or for receiving funds, which we do not control and do not reimburse.

10. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to the website is limited to the amount of the affected transfer. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under consumer protection legislation that applies to you.

11. Changes and termination

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date, and will apply to transfers authorised after that date. We may suspend or close an account where these terms are breached or where we are required to do so by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Ontario, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim in your own province of residence.
